When God's People Show Up: The Beauty of Kingdom Community
Hey family,
I had to pause and say thank you! Ever since I sent you this email about my friend Victoria and her writing residency in Greece. You showed up and gave not just money—but also prayers, words of encouragement, and more!
What This Revealed About True Community:
I cannot stop thanking God for how He used each of you to help make this possible. Watching you all respond reminded me that real community still exists. Not the kind where we just like each other's posts, but the kind where we actually invest in each other's dreams, even when it costs us something.
There's something so powerful about watching believers lift each other up. Victoria has spent years pouring into others—supporting my ministry, helping with The Writers Retreat, and serving faithfully behind the scenes. She's the kind of friend who gives and gives without expecting anything in return. And when it was her turn to need support, I’m glad we were able to join in and rally around her.
This is what the body of Christ is supposed to look like. When one part needs something, the whole body responds. When one person has a God-given dream, others don't compete or compare—they contribute. They pray. They give. They cheer each other on.
What Kingdom Friendship Really Looks Like:
True friendship in the Kingdom isn't just about being there for the good times. It's also about sacrificing something small so someone else can step into something big. It's about understanding that when we invest in each other's dreams, we're actually investing in God's Kingdom.
A Personal Thank You:
If you donated—whatever the amount—please know that you didn't just fund a trip. You invested in a calling. You partnered with God in something beautiful. When you felt moved to give, you could have easily scrolled past, but because people like you said “yes” to that gentle prompting, look what God did.
My Prayer for Us:
Father, thank You for this reminder of what true community looks like. Thank You for showing us that when Your people show up for each other, miracles happen. Help us to keep being the kind of people that rally around dreams, invest in callings, and don't hesitate to be generous when You stir our hearts. May we continue to be the hands and feet of Jesus to one another, supporting each other's journeys and celebrating each other's victories. Amen.
A Final Thought:
Next time you feel that nudge to support someone's dream—even if it feels a little scary—remember how beautiful it is when God's people show up for each other. Thank you for reminding me what Kingdom friendship looks like.
Sincerely, Karolyne ✨
